A family matter

The Buonconsiglio has a fascinating history like most of the historic hotels in Trentino.

The hotel was created from the remains of a garage purchased by Marcello Russolo after the Great War and converted into a flour, grain and cereal warehouse.

Due to the premature death of his father, in 1935 his son Eugenio Russolo, known as Enio, a lawyer by profession and a painter by passion, leased part of the building to a family from the Fiemme valley, who began renting rooms. Thus the Hotel Milano was born..

After the war, Enio decided to run the hotel on his own and, following a modest renovation, he created the Hotel Alessandro Vittoria, under the direction of his great friend Bruno Gius.

With the passing of time, it became necessary to radically renovate the structure, adapting it to the new criteria of security, hospitality and reception. In the 1990s, Hotel Buonconsiglio was thus born, managed directly by the lawyer Enio's sons.

Under the direction of Paolo, Marcello, Marco and Susanna, who follow its management and continuous modernisation with scrupulous attention, interest and commitment, the hotel has continued its rise as a historic hotel, always attentive to the needs and changes of its Italian and international guests.

The paintings and prints hanging in the lobby and hotel rooms are works by our father Enio, the fruit of a lifelong artistic passion.

When he donated the property to us, he expressed the wish to leave his works on display in the hotel, a wish that we, his children, proudly espoused.

Art to feel good, all our guests can share this experience with us.
